Pachmarhi
Pachmarhi is the known hill station of State Madhya Pradesh,
India. This beautiful spot is also identified as Pachmarhi Cantonment. In
common, the place is recognized as Queen of Satpura (Satpura ki Rani). The good
height of 1100 meters of the hill and deep valley of Satpura are special things
to watch at this natural beauty place.
The King Bhawut Singh of Dond kingdom ruled this place for
many years. However, British government undertaken this tribal dynasty in 1857.
Captain James Forsyth introduced this place to the world and merged this spot
to British Rule. This central state hill station became the infirmary for
British company in the Central India. The average population of this Indian
tourist place was 3,020 in 1901, though it increased to almost double in summer
months in the same year.
This verdant gem of Madhya Pradesh is the lovely hill area
covered by Satpura ranges. Tourist can find some unseen plants and trees in the
forest of Pachmarhi. Experts call this place as archaeological wealthy house
and the caves in Mahadeo hills as richest rock paintings of the world. Most of
the paintings are older than 10,000 years.

By Air: closest airport to reach this Indian tourist place
is Bhopal. The distance between Bhopal airport and Pachmarhi is just 195 kms.
Frequent domestic flights are available from Delhi, Jabalpur, Gwalior, Mumbai,
Indore and many other cities of India.
By Road: the road throughout the forest with curves makes
the journey special. Pachmarhi is linked through regular bus services from
Bhopal, Nagpur, Hoshangabad, Chhindwara and Pipariya.
By Train: Pipariya is the railway station situated at just
47 kms distance. Trains from several cities are reaching Pipariya. Mumbai to
Howrah through Allahabad is the suitable rail route to reach Pachmarhi.
